And, when you contribute, you'll open doors for yourself that simply do not exist in any other organization, anywhere.Primary Responsibilities:Take inbound calls from providers in a call center environmentWork with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage request for services from members and / or providersManage the referrals process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census rolesProvide appropriate triage and care coordination notification cases for non - clinical assessment / interventionProcess notification requirementsAssist the clinical staff with setting up documents / triage cases for Clinical Coverage ReviewHandle resolution / inquiries from members and / or providers that may include:Benefit and Eligibility informationBilling and Payment issuesCustomer material requestsPhysician assignmentsAuthorization for treatmentExplanation of Benefits (EOB)Verifying appropriate ICD - 10 and CPT coding usage


Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED (or higher)1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems1+ years of call center experienceMust be able to navigate a PC to open applications, send emails, and conduct data entryAbility to work Monday through Friday, 7:50 am to 4:20 pm Pacific Time or 10:50 am to 7:20 pm Eastern Time or 8:50 am to 5:20 pm Arizona Time (MST)Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience working within the Healthcare Industry1+ years of experience working with Healthcare InsuranceExperience working in a Hospital, Physician's Office, or Medical Clinical settingProfessional experience in a clerical or administrative support related roleExperience working with ICD - 9, ICD - 10, and CPT codesExperience working with Medicare and / or Medicaid ServicesWorking Knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate with members and providersSoft Skills:Ability to maintain set goals and metrics in a call center environmentAbility to communicate efficiently in a professional environmentAbility and willingness to work a set schedule, including clock-in/out, breaks, and lunches as designated by leadershipCareers with Optum.Here's the idea.
