Position Description

The Manager, BBX Compliance & Standard Work is responsible for implementation and execution of the centralized Branch Business Excellence (BBX) process, as well as the development, deployment, and maintenance of standard work instructions necessary to provide customers with an exceptional and effortless experience.  This includes ownership of the Branch Leader Checklist and responsibility for the accuracy/effectiveness of standard work needed to mitigate risk across the Branch Network.

The position requires the ability to build cross-functional partnerships across Grainger and work closely with Branch Leaders and Team Members to ensure proper execution of key processes. 

This person will oversee the governance and control mechanisms that ensure standard work permeates the habits of all Leaders' and Team Members' core processes throughout the Branch Network.

Position Requirements:

  • Establish framework to centralize BBX review and auditing processes, freeing up additional capacity for field leaders.
  • Lead and develop team of compliance specialists/analysts responsible for executing centralized BBX review and maintenance of standard work.
  • Build out governance, tracking and compliance metrics to ensure standard work habits are healthy across the network and properly addressing risk.
  • Identify recurring trends in failures through data analysis and drive for improvement.
  • Systematically update, organize and deploy standard work processes.
  • Actively engage field leaders and team members to ensure processes are being executed properly.
  • Participate in Branch initiatives through “go-sees”, pillar support, and other areas to drive adoption and ownership of standard work culture.
  • Proactively partner cross-functionally to develop testing procedures with the Contact Center Business Excellence (CCBX) Team and build standard work that integrates with process flows outside of the Branch Network.
  • Ensure standard work processes create an effortless customer experience and work to identify process improvements that can be quantified and measured.
  • Serve as Branch Network liaison and subject matter expert for internal and external initiatives that impact Branch Network processes.
  • Job leads/supervises/manages 2-5 employees
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Science preferred.  Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in Branch Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Lean/Six Sigma or Management.  Strong communication, process and organizational skills to create, deploy and monitor standardized systems cross functionally.
