As a Payor Specialist, you will support the Branch Operations and Patient Financial Service Center, by interacting with branch personnel to review government payor paperwork. .
Make a difference by bringing your personal touch a patient’s life by helping to alleviate any potential financial stress on our patients. Your working knowledge of payor contracts and revenue cycle process will allow any potential problems come to the forefront and be addresses in a timely manner. Your drive to impact the financial outcomes for branches and patients that you work with will lead to your success with Coram.

Key responsibilities:
* Work with Clinical Reimbursement Specialists (CRS) for review of payor based paperwork
* Ensure payor information is updated and accurate in system based on payor requirements and contracts.
* Work with branches to identify payor changes and problem areas.
* Communicate changes to individual branches and CRS for inaccurate forms.
* Work in the operations software to verify accuracy of information on the government forms as well as prescriber orders
* Prepare and evaluate tracking forms for the CRS team with preliminary review of core therapies

Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience performing healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing or related work.
* Minimum 1 year experience performing customer service in a healthcare environment.
* Proficient to advanced PC skills, including MS Windows-based applications, specifically MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications
* Working knowledge of medical terminology.
* Excellent communication skills, including a strong command of the English language and the ability to clearly articulate.
Customer service focus in a healthcare environment.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Customer service skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.

Education
High School diploma or Bachelors degree
