Join us and help people live healthier lives while doing your life's best work.(sm)   Primary Responsibilities: Sets team direction, resolves problems, and provides guidance to members of own team in prior authorization call center Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges Provides input to forecasting and planning activities Manage activities that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, reporting, and presenting information for operational and business planning Evaluate performance metrics to deliver programs to drive consumer outcomes, client return on investment and productivity improvements from better processes and technology Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities Develop and implement effective and strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes Provide leadership and support in the areas of quality, productivity, and customer service Monitor and facilitate workflow, maximizing resources to provide quality, consumer and company focused services Identify problem areas and develop contingency plans Deliver excellent customer service maximizing customer growth Opportunity to work for a Fortune 5 Organization in a leadership role.  


Required Qualifications: 3+ years of related experience in health care or health insurance: UM, prior authorizations, eligibility, benefits, claims processing, appeals, or call center environment 1+ years supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to interact positively with internal and external customers Intermediate Word, Excel, and internet navigational skills Must be willing and able to be on - call or work weekends, as necessary, to manage department Ability to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:00am - 5:30pm PST Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Project management / coordination experience   Careers with Optum.
