Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).Primary Responsibilities:Benefit determination for all our facilities, and covering the entire state.Benefit Determination involves receiving electronic information from the field Nurse Practitioners (DSTs - Decision Support Tool) containing clinical issues a patient is having and treatments for the issues.Complete the information in a software program, decides if the patient qualifies for and is eligible for skilled care, then notifies appropriate Long Term Care Facility staff that the patient was placed on skilled benefit.Keep track of review dates and makes sure the field NPs review the patients as indicated.Notify the facility when the patient is being discharged from skilled care, ensuring timely notification of non-coverage in compliance with CMS regulations.Data entry and monitoring of clinical databases/SharePoint sitesAssisting Business Segment Liaison with on-boarding new employees and troubleshooting system/technology issues.Actively promotes the Evercare program in relationships with facilities by partnering with key stakeholders (ie: internal and external)Establish regular and effective communication with internal and external parties including members, keydecision-makers, and facility staff.Use communication skills to address organizational issues.Exhibit original thinking and creativity in the development of new and improved methods and approaches to issues.Function independently and responsibly, follow up with minimal need for supervision.Demonstrate initiative in achieving individual, team, and organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements:High School Diploma / GED or higher 6+ months of Administrative Role experience6+months of intake call center experienceAbility to create, copy, edit, send, and save within Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Assets:Experience / exposure to geriatrics and long - term care preferredMedicaid / Medicare experience is preferred
