Position Description: Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating and resolving all types of appeals and grievances. Communicates with appropriate parties regarding appeals and grievance issues, implications and decisions. Analyzes and identifies trends for all appeals and grievances. May research and resolve written Department of Insurance complaints and complex or multi-issue provider complaints submitted by consumers and physicians/providers.  Required Skills: Qualifications: - 1-2 years experience in a health insurance environment required
- 1-2 years experience with MS Office (Word and Excel) and PC knowledge required
- 2-3 years with data entry required
- 1-2 years experience with telephonic and correspondence customer service strongly preferred
- 1+ year experience of Medicare laws and regulations requirement
- Familiarity with Part D Benefit plans is preferred
- Familiarity with Part C is preferred
- Responds to standard requests
- Professional business skills are essential, a writing sample will be required at interview
- Solves routine problems by following established procedures
- Others prioritize and set deadlines for employee
- High school education or equivalent experience
