Job Description:

Seeking a PM Telemarketing Supervisor for the Circulation Department of Orlando Sentinel with the responsibility of supervising Telephone Sales Representatives and an assistant shift supervisor for the purpose of selling newspaper subscriptions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise telephone representatives in home delivery solicitations to increase newspaper circulation and market penetration.
• Assign sales files as directed by Teleservices Sales Manager during an active shift.
• Manage telephone sales representative’s work schedules to ensure we run full staffs for each shift.
• Monitor, evaluate and coach each telephone representative to ensure high quality of sales and customer service.
• Create, implement and maintain a professional work climate through leadership and promoting positive effective working relationships with other divisions within and outside the Circulation Department.
• Create and implement motivational activities for the telephone sales staff to increase sales subscriptions.
• Create, implement and maintain an ongoing training cycle for all telephone sales representatives.
• Monitor the productivity of the telephone sales staff and communicate the progress to the Teleservices Sales Manager.
• Track sales statistics from the auto dialer and report results to the Teleservices Sales Manager.
• Assist in the preparation of all payroll reports
• Accurately input subscriber information including starts, changes and stops into the company billing/order entry system and/or auto dialer.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with subscribers, peers, supervisor and other Sentinel employees.
• Effectively answer or direct inquiries from subscribers and the general public

REQUIREMENTS
• Should have a college degree or 2-5 years equivalent supervisor experience in an outbound call center.
• Must possess good sales skills and have a thorough knowledge of telemarketing practices and predictive dialers.
• Must have the ability to effectively supervise, evaluate, direct and motivate a diverse staff and create a harmonious environment
• Must possess good organizational skills, and ability to manage time and schedules effectively.
• Must be skilled in the use of personal computer and applicable software.
• Must be able to coach and train staff to maintain positive performance in order to meet department goals.
• Must understand the proper ways of dealing successfully with customers and prospective customers.
• Must have the flexibility to change work schedules with minimal notice at the discretion of the management in order to accomplish department goals. Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
