Humana Healthy Horizons in Louisiana is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 who will follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective administrative support to our Medicaid Senior Leadership team. The Administrative Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Answers telephones, screens calls, and takes messages so callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant 2 provides executive level support and guidance to the C-Level leaders for the organization, and associate support by performing the following duties.
  • Efficiently manage calendar and time of C-Level leaders, including scheduling meetings, coordinating training events, internal and external meetings, booking/coordinating travel, expenses, etc. and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Documents meeting minutes.
  • Distributes incoming mail, prepares outgoing mail, create files and maintains office supplies or other inventory.
  • Provides assistance with the onboarding of new associates.
  • Spearhead and coordinate associate engagement events, such as team meetings, luncheons, town hall meetings, etc.
  • Draft and prepare internal correspondence related to key announcements and celebratory holidays.
  • Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
  • Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.
  • Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years of experience providing administrative support to leadership teams.
  • Must live in a commutable distance to Metairie, Louisiana (see \"Additional Information\" section for workstyle) .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while cooperating with a team.
  • Ability to balance multiple or competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
  • Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio.
  • Experience with Concur and/or similar expense and travel management software.
  • Previous experience providing administrative support to leadership teams in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with internet research and proof-reading/editing.


Additional Information
  • Workstyle: Hybrid Office - 3 - 4 days/week in Humana's Metairie, LA location and 1 - 2/days per week remote. Leadership will discuss the frequency.
  • Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm (flexible).

Interview Format

As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Modern Hire, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided.
