We are seeking a highly motivated processing individual that can assist us in a full-time capacity with the ability to work non-traditional hours.


Prior processing experience preferred

Claims experience

Claims center familiarity

Excellent customer service

Location: Remote

Ability to work Shifts ending as late as 8:30pm EST. One position is negotiable for a split shift (2 days off during the week)

Schedules in EST are as followed:

Shift 1: Monday-Friday and will require non-standard working hours; 12p-830p

Shift 2: Requires Split Shift; Wed - Off, Saturday - Off. Work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 11-730p. Sunday 8-430p

New Hire Training and Transitional period CST, M-F 8-430pm

Compensation Band: C2 (internal use only)

Job Description Summary

As a Senior Processor, you'll handle complex claims services functions such as, correspondence, statistical reporting, small first party claims and special projects. You'll work across multiple lines of business and with external partners or agents.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handles complex claims processing functions including reports, analysis and erroneous claims.
  • Uses all related systems and technology effectively.
  • Assists in determining the effect of new releases, transmittals, procedures and suggestions.
  • Verifies commercial coverages, handles small first party claims, and sets up claim rebuild policies on appropriate system. Establishes the claim first notice of loss by direct entry through multiple claims systems used for Personal, Commercial, Specialty and Property lines of business.
  • Identifies system errors, program errors, system outages, processing improvements or workflow issues and bring to the attention of the team leader, analyst, supervisor or manager.
  • Assists state or company auditors, as requested.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Supervisor.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: High school studies. Completion of formal customer service or accounting class or seminar preferred.

Experience: Two years of related work experience, preferably as a claims service processor or customer service related position preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Claims processing systems, coding practices and procedures, including manual claims. Interrelationship between claims services and other departments. General accounting practices as they relate to open item processing. Customer service concepts. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal/external contacts including claims representatives, agents, policyholders/claimants, other departments/functions; ability to read and interpret manuals and reference materials. Ability to research, analyze and resolve moderate and complex claims processing and open item issues. Ability to operate personal computer and related processing software; operate business. Prioritize own work; determine whether any adverse information is present that would require claims review using established criteria, guidelines, and standards.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.

Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Non Exempt)

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Extended hours sitting at personal computer. Requires ability and availability to work non-standard or extended hours, overtime or shifts as assigned to support a 24/7/365 claim or claims call center environment.
